Let's Win the Future! Gala date announced for 2018

On Saturday, February 10, 2018, the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation hosted its fourth annual "Let's Win the Future" Gala! In attendance were President Dr. Richard Rhodes of Austin Community College District; Dr. Denise Smart, Dean of McCoy College of Business at Texas State University; Council Member 3 Sabino Pio Renteria; Austin Community Community Trustee Nora De Hoyos Comstock; and Dr. Paul Cruz, Superintendent of Austin Independent School District. 

Our synergetic partnerships with ACC, Texas State University, and the University of Texas at Austin have evolved to lofty heights by granting educational opportunities to meritorious students who are committed to our economic and social wellbeing. As in past years, the foundation awarded an additional $25,000 to Texas State University, McCoy School of Business Scholarship Endowment Fund. Furthermore, an additional $15,000 was awarded to Austin Community College Endowment Fund. The University of Texas Endowment now exceeds $100,000.

The GAHCF Golf Classic hits record donations

The 2017 GAHCC Foundation Golf Classic was a monumental success! Records indicate that the tournament raised over $24,000 geared towards scholarship endowments at Texas State University, The University of Texas at Austin, and Austin Community College. Covert Auto Group served as the Title Sponsor and featured their newest Cadillac Escalade and 2018 Ford F-250 and a 2018 Cadillac CT6. Contributing investors included Casa Garcia's Restaurant and Casa Blanca Realty. 

The Golf Classic was held at the Grey Rock Golf Club on Friday, October 27, 2017. Save the date for the next GAHCC Foundation Classic which will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018.

Breaking News! HAL Recognized as Top 7 Leadership Programs in the U.S.

The Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's (GAHCC) Hispanic Austin Leadership (HAL) Program, an initiative funded by the GAHCC Foundation, has been named one of the top Hispanic Chamber Leadership programs in the country for its outstanding seventeen years of community impact. This honor comes from Lideramos, the National Alliance of Latino Leadership Programs. The mission of Lideramos is to enhance and develop Latino Leadership Programs to strengthen a nation of diverse leaders who are culturally aware, civically engaged and community-serving, providing effective leadership for a multicultural society.
